Password generators and managers treat the process as a black box. For people who want to understand and control how a credential is protected, that is a gap.
Goal
Make building a custom protection scheme approachable, not intimidating.
Create a modular tool where you assemble a chain of cryptographic steps, forge a password with it, and keep the results in a vault with a clear view of how strong they are.
Solution
A visual builder, a vault and a score.
A React 19 and TypeScript app built with Vite, branded in the app as PassForge. You build a custom chain of encryption steps, forge new passwords with it and keep them in a vault, with a security score that shows how many are protected and how strong they are. Passwords can be shared as QR codes, with a built-in camera scanner to read them back. It is a personal project for exploring how password protection works, not a replacement for an audited password manager.
