Challange
A good daily puzzle needs feedback that is precise enough to solve and simple enough to read at a glance.
LEGO sets differ in release year, theme, piece count and minifigures. A guessing game built on them needs a way to say warmer or colder for numbers, and a clean yes or no for categories, without turning into a spreadsheet.
Goal
Bring the Wordle habit to LEGO fans: one hidden set a day, the same for everyone.
Build a daily game where players search for a LEGO set, read colour-coded clues, and close in on the hidden one in as few guesses as possible.
Solution
Wordle-style tiles for real set data.
Built in React and TypeScript with all game logic on the client and a static dataset from Rebrickable, so there is no backend to run. Each guess is compared with the day's set: exact matches turn green, numbers show higher or lower arrows, and everything else turns grey. Autocomplete search, streaks, statistics and a shareable result grid are saved locally in the browser. There is a classic mode and a guess-the-pieces mode, with a surprise mode on the way. It is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with the LEGO Group.
